Humans Being Counselling are a growing, passionate team of mental health professionals, consisting of registered psychologists & accredited mental health social workers. The team consist of highly reputable, skilled clinicians with many years of experience. Talia Zyngier
Practice Manager
Talia is an Allied Health professional with over 8 years working across the Public and Private systems, bringing a wealth of organisational skills and person-centred management to Humans Being.Talia believes that accessing mental health services should be a positive, welcoming, inclusive and supportive experience for all humans. Talia is responsible for all administrative aspects of Humans Being, as well as supporting the Intake process.She holds a Bachelors of Health Sciences and a Masters of Speech Pathology, practices mindfulness and is a casual Yogi.

Jeremy Neumann
Clinical Director
Jeremy is a highly experienced therapist and Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with an academic background in business and psychology (BBus; GDipPsych; MSW, AMHSW). He has over a decade of clinical experience across the mental health public and private sectors. He works holistically, helping clients move beyond surface-level symptoms to explore the deeper issues underlying their challenges. His expertise spans youth, family, and adult therapy, with a particular focus on anxiety, stress, trauma, life transitions, identity, fatherhood, and depression.Jeremy’s approach is deeply relational, allowing him to naturally engage with clients in a way that makes them feel at ease. His ability to foster a safe and open therapeutic space encourages connection, deeper insight, personal growth, and meaningful change. He combines a gentle, compassionate presence with a commitment to transparency, valuing honest dialogue and shared feedback as essential tools for therapeutic progress.Jeremy takes a formulation-based approach to therapy, working collaboratively with clients to understand how their life experiences, relationships, and thought patterns have shaped who they are today. He is also trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, PTSD and other presentations.Jeremy is committed to helping clients move beyond symptom management, guiding them toward deeper self-awareness and meaningful change. His holistic and strengths-based approach supports clients in understanding themselves more fully and developing the tools to navigate life with greater resilience and fulfilment.
He has a strong grounding in mindfulness based approaches, completing further training in Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MBCBT), and incorporates the ideals of everyday mindfulness into his practice. He has further training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and also Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy for working with trauma.Jeremy’s professional yet relaxed interpersonal style creates a welcoming and engaging space for clinical exploration, goal setting and insight development. Indya Moss
Psychologist
Indya is a Registered Psychologist (BPsychSc, BPsych(Hons), MProfPsych) who works with children 8+, adolescents and adults.Indy’s priority is creating a safe and comfortable space where clients can freely express themselves, exploring their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She uses a tailored intervention for each client which could incorporate elements of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. Indy believes in taking a holistic approach with her clients, seeing them as a whole person rather than just a collection of parts.
She infuses her knowledgeable professionalism with warmth, fun and positivity, as her therapy sessions aren’t just about tackling challenges; it’s also about finding moments of authentic human connection and personal growth.
Indy cherishes diversity in all its expressions, affirming LGBTQIA+ identities, nurturing cultural sensitivity, and honouring neurodiversity. Jordana Mac
Clinical Psychologist
Jordana is a Clinical Psychologist with a Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical) with training in both cognitive behavioural therapies and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Jordana draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches to tailor the therapy to the unique needs, aspirations and goals of each client.Jordana helps individuals address their difficulties through the development of a deeper understanding of themselves, their past and present experiences, and their unconscious motivations. She recognises each client’s individuality and helps them create meaningful lives, which are guided by their values and lived in the
present moment. Jordana draws on techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (for trauma) and Circle of Security Parenting.
Jordana strives to create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for this process by being empathic, open-minded, and non-judgemental. She values and respects people’s humanity and the variety of ways in which they experience and live
their lives. Jordana primarily works with individuals experiencing difficulties with anxiety, depression, trauma, interpersonal relationships, life transitions and adjustment, perinatal anxiety and depression, parenting difficulties, grief and loss, and substance
use. Depending on the individual’s needs, Jordana works with clients in either a short, medium, or long-term therapeutic process. In addition to her role with Humans Being Counselling, Jordana also works at the St John of God Langmore Centre
Parent Infant Unit in Berwick.

Cameron Norton
AMHSW & Addiction Counsellor
Cameron is a warm and personable clinician with over 8 years of Mental Health experience working with individuals from a range of diverse backgrounds. Cam is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (BA; GradCertAddBeh; MSW, AMHSW) and primarily works with people experiencing anxiety, depression, substance use, gambling and other addictive behaviours, trauma, interpersonal relationships.Cam's therapeutic approach is person-centered and draws from additional training in a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). He also has a special interest in mindfulness-based approaches, with these principles woven into his sessions, or that can also be taught as specific skills. His holistic assessment and intervention style is informed by Cam’s professional training as well as extensive experience as a teacher and practitioner of breathwork & meditation (trained facilitator with the Art of Living Foundation) and yoga (accredited teacher with Australian Yoga Academy), for which he regularly runs workshops around Melbourne.Cam works from a holistic biopsychosocial & trauma-informed lens and strives to create a safe and non-judgemental space. His calm yet engaging demeanour invites a sense of comfort that allows trust to be built and the therapeutic progress to begin. Cam is passionate about guiding clients to remove mental or emotional blockages so that their natural strengths and values can emerge and flourish.Additionally to his private work at Humans Being Counselling, Cam also works at St Vincent’s Hospital in the Department of Addiction Medicine.Outside his clinical roles, Cam spends his time in nature, cycling, meditating, connecting with the community or working on creative projects.

Mary Kelly
Clinical Psychologist
Mary is a Clinical Psychologist (BSc (Hons), MClinPsych), working with
adults at Humans Being Counselling. She has experience working in both private
and government settings with clients across the lifespan. Mary provides a flexible and collaborative approach, and draws on various evidenced based therapies and
holistic skills and practices. She aspires to work with clients to achieve a better
understanding of themselves, and meet their personal therapy goals. Her areas of
interest include anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, adjustment difficulties,
relationship issues, and grief and loss. Mary uses therapies including Cognitive
Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye
Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, somatic work, and supportive counselling.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, being in nature, and good food.

Natalie Chionh
Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar)
Natalie is a registered psychologist (BA, GDipPsych, MPsych - Clinical) who is passionate about providing evidence-based psychological care to help her clients achieve their best outcomes and live their most fulfilling lives. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and mindfulness-based interventions as well as drawing from Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, developing a unique therapeutic plan for each client. Natalie works with clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, depression, anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, domestic violence and personality disorders. She enjoys working with teenagers & adults in 1:1 therapy sessions.Natalie strives to create a safe, respectful and supportive environment in her sessions through warmth, patience and empathy, allowing her clients to freely share their thoughts, feelings and experiences. She works collaboratively with her clients to identify their own personal goals for therapy; patiently and calmly holds space for her clients to work through their therapeutic process towards achieving these goals.Outside her clinical work, Natalie is passionate about DanceSport and plays and composes on classical piano.

Susan Friedman
AMHSW & Family Therapist
Susan is an experienced and dedicated mental health professional (DipEd, BEd, BSW, GDipFamilyTh, AMHSW), with over 30 years in the counselling field, with a strong background in education, social work and family therapy. She has developed a comprehensive skill set with a deep understanding of human issues and relationships. In the therapeutic relationship Susan cultivates, she offers compassion, nurturing and guidance, creating an environment conducive to growth and self fulfilment. She enjoys assisting individuals in recognising and appreciating their strengths and inner resources.Susan enjoys working with people helping them overcome the obstacles life presents. Whether it’s addressing relationship or family issues, managing anxiety or depression, coping with grief or loss, building self-esteem, or healing from trauma Susan is committed to providing you with professional counselling support. She views counselling as a collaborative process that acknowledges and values each person’s uniqueness and individuality. She works closely with individuals, families and couples to support them to develop goals and strategies for positive change. Daniel Chamravi
Psychologist (Clinical Psychology Registrar)
Daniel Chamravi is Registered Psychologist (BPsychSci, GDipPsych, MClinPsych, AMACPA) who works with adults and older adults. Daniel is focused on providing a warm, empathetic and empowering therapeutic environment that is tailored to the needs of the client. Engaging in partnership with the client, Daniel is able to foster collaborative and holistic care, by developing therapeutic goals and strategies tailored to the client’s needs, helping clients manage their presenting challenges and lead a more fulfilling life.
Daniel primarily works with individuals in managing depression, anxiety, grief & loss, trauma, adjusting to life’s changes and interpersonal relationships. Daniel’s practice encompasses elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), in addition to Humanistic Psychology and Positive Psychology frameworks. Daniel has experience in the area of Geropsychology (psychology for older adults), including supporting clients with dementia (and their families / support network), across community health and public hospitals, and is committed to providing a culturally and linguistically safe and empowering experience for clients. Daniel holds a Master of Clinical Psychology, is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is an Associate Member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association.

Cooper
Chief Well-being Officer
We’re thrilled to officially introduce Cooper, who has been promoted from “Good Boy” to “Chief Well-Being Officer”.
With a special interest in Somatic Patting Therapy and Affection-Based Interventions, Cooper is here to support both our clients and team with his calming presence and tail-wagging enthusiasm.
Cooper’s qualifications include: Advanced studies in Snackology and Paw-sitive Psychology, Certification in Grounding Techniques (especially when leaning against you for pats), A PhD in Unconditional Love.
When he’s not offering silent support during sessions, Cooper enjoys:
• Facilitating Mindful Walks in the park (where he practices being in the moment – or chasing it).
• Providing Cuddle Therapy, often accompanied by an encouraging “woof.”
• Ongoing research in the field of Biscuit Acquisition Strategies.
We’re so lucky to have Cooper joining the Humans Being Counselling family, bringing his unique brand of canine compassion to our work in supporting mental health.
